July Astrology

Keywords: Insecurity, uncertainty, volatility, catalytic change

Regime Change, Rebellion and Revolution are in the air!

From Monday July 6, the Sun in security conscious, ‘keep the home (land) safe’ Cancer opposes transformational Pluto in security conscious, ‘government knows best’ Capricorn, the patriarchal, authoritarian sign of political economy, and squares, (challenges) shake up / wake up Uranus in fiery, pioneering Aries, creating a tense Cardinal T Square aspect formation with defiant, ‘don’t tell me what to do or how to be’ Uranus in the central focal position.

Then in subsequent weeks feisty, hot-headed Mars, the god of war and passion in thin-skinned reactive Cancer, and Mercury, the planet of mind and communication, quick thinking and fast talking in Gemini but shrewd and intuitively perceptive in Cancer, will replace the Sun as the active players in the critical parent / rebellious child bonding pattern that is destined to be played out in multifarious political and personal situations.

“I’m the parent (boss) here! Just who do you think is running this show?”

“You’ve got to earn your own keep. These are my terms and conditions, if you don’t like them, get a job and stand on your own two feet. No more handouts from me!”

“Respect your parents (country) or find another home (country) to live in.”

“Trust me to keep you safe. Father knows best”

“The age of entitlement is over!” (Said by the entitled one!)

“With freedom comes responsibility”

“Help! The lunatics have taken over the asylum!”

“And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.” – Nietzsche

“I would rather die on my feet than live on my knees”

“Those who would give up liberty for security deserve neither”
– Benjamin Franklin (paraphrased)

“It is the job of thinking people, not to be on the side of the executioners.”
– Camus

“What is a rebel? A man who says no” – Camus

“The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion”

  • Camus
