Astro- Update 31-12-2016
Each end a beginning / Each beginning an end”
2016 ends and 2017 begins with Jupiter, planet of expansion, belief, and higher understanding re-activating the separating but still potent 90 degree square alignment of the planets Uranus (revolt, rebellion, revolution) and Pluto (money, power, transformation). And right here in Byron Bay all three planets are strengthened in their effect because they are so-called angular as the New Year begins, with Jupiter rising, Uranus setting, and Pluto in the central position in the fourth house of home and family. The Byron that many of us have known and loved is set to be changed forever by the same secretive, plutonic money makers that are transforming communities and countries all over the planet – and as is all too evident, the biosphere of the planet itself. Not that this will happen without a massive counter-effort from all the creative innovators, rainbow warriors, cutting edge thinkers, and true believers in a better way that are pleased to call Byron and the Earth itself home.
Charles Dickens wrote in the City of Light at the time of the French Revolution when Uranus and Pluto were in a similar challenging alignment as they are now these words, that are as relevant now as they were then:
“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness.”
So friends, prepare for another catalytic, albeit inherently unpredictable year ahead as we spiritual beings enjoying / enduring the human experience are challenged yet again to be and to live the change we wish to see in the world! To be part of the solution rather than the problem, and to embody real authentic human presence in all it’s shades of light and shadow as we gaze unflinchingly into the face of our common fate. The Great Work, the Universal Task is to see all beings as reflections of our very Self, to see that what we do to another and to the Earth itself we do to ourselves. It’s time, it’s always time, to unite heaven and earth, yin and yang, masculine and feminine, within and without. Time again to give thanks and praise that at the still point of the turning world Love makes the Sun come up / Love makes the Moon change shape / Love makes the Stars twinkle in the sky / Love makes the World go round !
The last word I give to Buckminster Fuller: “We are not going to be able to operate our spaceship earth successfully nor for much longer unless we see it as a whole spaceship and our fate as common. We are going to have to find ways of organizing ourselves co-operatively, sanely, harmonically, and in regenerative spontaneity”
