The Leo / Aquarius Sign Polarity

Venus transiting through Leo until July 10 continues to highlight the opposing nature of Leo to Aquarius as concurrently Mars continues its long transit through Aquarius. I’m reposting my takes on both Venus in Leo and Mars in Aquarius to heighten awareness of the polarity.

Venus in Leo
Leo is ruled by the Sun, the centre and heart of our entire solar system, and Leo in turn rules the heart in the body, so when Venus is in Leo it’s time to lead from the heart in our entire approach to life. Leo gives warmth, drama and passion to Venus, so please applaud if love does indeed bloom during this transit and proud lovers burst into song, dance or speech to let the whole world know.
Be generous and demonstrative in the expression of your feelings, and take pride in your appearance as potential lovers won’t want to be seen in public with you if you don’t. Be aware not to blow the budget though because this Venus is prone to extravagant gestures and expensive tastes.

How could it be otherwise when only the best will do!
A mature Leo Venus feels special inside, so doesn’t need to demand adoration or worship from a partner, but less evolved types exhibit a childish need for attention, which would be better fulfilled by taking up a creative vocation and putting to good use their abundant gifts and talents.
Mars in Aquarius
“There is one thing stronger than all the armies in the world and that is an idea whose time has come”

  • Victor Hugo
The god of war in the sign of big picture ideas and ideals produces the freedom fighters, culture warriors, and ideological crusaders of the zodiac. Armed with the courage of conviction, this Mars will dare to be different, rather than conform to the expectations of others or the established ways of doing things. Intolerant of intolerance, these natural born rebels insist on the freedom of each and everyone to live as they see fit, and abhor stupidity, prejudice and injustice with a passion. Thus they make willing activists who will readily engage in protest and confrontation in the pursuit of a cause, perhaps needing to realize that people of equal sincerity and conviction can legitimately hold opposing views. Friendship is important to them. Without it, they can easily become estranged outsiders who don’t fit in anywhere. What really inspires them is joining together with like-minds to work on cutting edge projects to make the world a better place. Sexually, they take an open and experimental approach, and believe that what takes place in the bedroom is nobody’s business but your own.
“Our unwillingness to see our faults and the projection of them onto others is the source of most quarrels, and the strongest guarantee that injustice, animosity and persecution will not easily die out.”

  • Jung
“What is a rebel? A man who says no.”

  • Camus
“I don’t personally trust any revolution where love is not allowed”

  • Maya Angelou
“Planetary service is the basis of the new time. Ask not what you can do for yourself, your religion or your country, but what you can do for your planet.”

  • Jose Arguelles
